This is my stomping ground as i live very near there, would advise that on bank holidays & hi summer take extra care for holliday makers, police presence hotts up at the hight due to twats who take no notice, Gt bently is near aas well, & you could add this ride to the following clacton to harwich then harwich to Manningtree mistly route nice little circet - enjoy

There are a few nice corners on this pleasant part of England and the surroundings are nice and rural with a good road surface. Go slow through villages though.
