Get off the N9 and go for a ride around teh lac du garabit. Not a road for racing, take your time and take in teh spectacular scenery, highly recommended. Nice littel restaurant as you climb up from the lake, sit on the balcony overlooking the lake, bliss.
Follow the N9 from Saint Flour to Loubaresse (its good to get off the A75) with a nice set of hair pin bends around the Viaduc du Garabits (touristy in summer) stop and take in the view or a boat trip. Film attached.
