Some spectacular corner groupings on the western 1/2, especially as you cross the pass altho the eastern extremity as you approach Haines is purely farmland. Still that is sometimes ok too. But Haines has only regular, if that is open, so come with gas - closest is south of Haines at Baker City, Sumpter (south of 73/52 jct), Heppner(west of Ukiah). Sometimes has major construction due to alpine weather being hard on roads.
