Between Columbus & Absarokee the cops still patrol it quite heavily. They generally shoot you with radar from @ 100 yards away. The HP runs black Dodge Chargers and the locals run a variety; white Pickups, white SUV, etc. Keep your nose clean in this section, besides it´s really bad for deer crossings. From Absarokee to Red lodge it´s a wonderful stretch if you want to air it out a bit. In many years of riding this I´ve met only a couple cops outside the city limits of Red lodge.

A nice road with lots of ups and downs, and many open sweepers to play in. The cop was having supper when I went through.

This road made me want to buy a motorcycle before I had one. Watch out between Columbus and Absarokee, I've gotten three speeding tickets. The cop will give you a ticket for going 3 mph over the speed limit and knows where to sit to get you. The rest of the ride is great. I've done it 50 times... it is one of my favorites.

Another nice selection of varied corners in a very quiet area. Great to enjoy your bike, well worth a look if you e in the area.
