ive done this route a couple of times coming back from matlock the junction at the end when it meets the A515 is known locally as a bad accident spot ( had one myself broken wrist was the result but the accident was my fault) the ladlord of the bently brook inn was a great help though kept my bike there overnight for me and he told me that there had been a few accidents there still a great road full of twisty bends

Pretty twisty in places and nice scenary on the edge of the Peak District, a couple of nice tight corners here that get better as you become more familiar with them.
