Took the B4403 as i thought it might be a nice scenic route to Bala but i would not recommend this route as you rarely get a decent view of the lake and the road is quite narrow with quite a few holiday caravans and the sort when i went down there in July 07.
Stick to the A494 if you are coming from the south toward Bala.
