Fantastic roads, fantastic scenery, nice and hospitable people. What more do you want? Stop in the surprisingly hip and cool Stryn for fashion-shopping or the best Espresso and Pain au chocolat at Vertshuset.
Geiranger is filled to the brim with tourists - and rightly so. It is listed as a Unesco World Heritage site. Catch a ferry out the fjord, or take one of the two roads (only one is open all year round). Union hotel is a great place to stay (remember to bring your swimmingtrunks).
This route takes in the spectacular descents into the Geiranger Fjord and the wonderful waterfall alongside the Trollstigen (Trolls Ladder) hairpin descent before Andalsnes. A superb road on your way north to Trondheim.
