This route in late march through early May is one of the most beautiful rides in California, with the meadows and hills a luxurious green and wildflowers everywhere. Slow down and take it in . . .

This route is out in the middle of nowhere, but beautiful scenery and a great example of CA backroads. For anyone traveling through the central coast, this route would take longer but is much more scenic than the 5 or 101 freeways.
