As posted in April, this road was closed. As of this week, the road must be opened as seen in the picture. I was only passing by heading to California therefore I did not take the road to Dante's View.
Road is currently CLOSED.
Police presence is when you leave park to Vegas..More cops then all off my 2800 miles combined in the first 10 miless out of park into the border of Nevada.. But Dantes peak road was great on my electra glide.. go too fast into the turns and cars coming at you may and do cross over the yellow.. there speeds 30-40 mph.. Going up the last 1/2 mile so steep I layed my gut and head on the gas tank and bars thinking the cycle may flip backwards on throttle.. Also touristy..People wanted to take picture next to and on my cycle at the top..Ratio that day was 80% foreign and they loved the Harley.. North road of park is less traveled and way better then driving in from Nevada...
A serious climb up to Dantes View. Quite straight at first, then really tightens up during the climb to about 5475 feet. A great view of Death Valley from the top.
