Fabulous route and great addition...here's another, to make it a circular jaunt of great beauty and tricky corners plus nice twisties :)...at EAST GRINSTED head EAST along the A264 to TUNBRIDGE WELLS. then drop SOUTH on the A267 towards HEATHFIELD (but DON'T go into HEATHFIELD). here you have 2 options...(a)if you want a fabulous biker feast at one of Sussex's best BIKER CAFES - WESSONS at HORAM (closed Mon & Tues though open weekends)- continue SOUTH on A267. !watch out for a sneaky RIGHT FORK you need to take after CROSS-IN-HAND! (btw-if you fancy some 'window-shopping' ;) there's a bigish BIKE SHOP at CROSS-IN-HAND, "GROOMBRIDGE'S", on the LEFT, opposite large petrol station). As you come into HORAM take a SHARP LEFT down a hill, towards MAYNARDS GREEN on B2203 and within 30yds on LEFT is WESSONS shop and cafe (bikes park up the back/cars in front. You can then retrace steps back past CROSS-IN-HAND then take a LEFT heading WEST on the famous A272 towards HADLOW DOWN and BUXTED... Option (b)after passing through FIVE ASHES take a LEFT, heading WEST on the brilliant A272 (best ridden early mornings to miss all the cagers tho!) After BUXTED the road turns into the A26/A22 for a short spin, just follow the signs for NEWICK and HAYWARDS HEATH. Follow the A272 and you'll pick up the A281 again at COWFOLD. (must add tho, at this point you're on the best part of the A272 so only stop riding it if you're a boring old fart! he he

So Good I always ride that way to work ! Rather than going all the way to Horsham (if going north) turn right just after Leonardslee Gardens towards handcross (A23) B2110 follow road into Handcross village and go north and follow road to Turners hill and East Grinstead... great! road towards Turners hill has some tight corners on it , hard work on a slabby but for everybody else big fun. I arrive at work with grin everytime!

Not a bad stretch, quite easy with only one really blind bend after a bump.
