One of my favourite rides, on the way from Johnstone to Largs just before Kilbirnie there's a corner that at first sight looks like a straight, the fence/wall goes straight and the road goes right. Never any police about.
The initial review is a good assessment where the most significant feature is the combination of open bends,tight turns all in all quite a nice route. I've never actually seen any police presence at all here myself.
Nice road that climbs up to the Muirhead Reservoir where there is a good selection of open sweeping bends, some nice overtaking straights and a few tighter twisties. Road condition is good and minimal police presence
