Great and wonderfull view, bad and very narrow road almost in the final part of the trip.

I took this route instead of motorways to get to Granada. Scenery is out of this world as you pass across the high passes. There was snow when I crossed in Dec 2010. Many mountain bends and hairpins. Road surface generally good but allow a couple of hours to cross - the bends are slow and the second half is almost single track road (nice surface though) with limited visibility round the bends so not for the faint hearted or those who want to blast round the bends. But the view and changing scenery are worth it.
