I´ve done it hill climbing (rampa de Murça) in a late afternoon winter´s day. Very nice in deed. Just had to be extra careful when descending the N15 to Vila Real. The ice on the shade bends were menacing. Recommended. I´ve promised myself to do it again both ways with spring/summer weather.
Technical road with lots of U-turns and chicane-like corners. You must keep you concentration really high if youre going fast.Road Surface could be better but still lots of fun doing it both ways.
This route is usually the stage for the car rally named 'Rampa de Murça' which stands for 'Murças Shakedown' and its filled with good curves, whether you choose to do it downward or upward. My suggestion: do it both!
