I was advised of this route by the owner of a biker friendly Hotel in Campitello. He wreckoned it was one of the best routes in the Dolomites, I agree with him. The bottom sections in either direction start of with a series of hair pins through trees. As you gain height you loose the trees and now get spectacular views of the Dolomites. We didn see many bikes or cars while riding the route even though it was the Italian summer holidays, there was a large congregation of bikes and cars at the head of the pass.
