Newcastle to Port Hope had some great views of the lake and a couple of hamlets I didn´t even know existed - I was born and raised close by in Oshawa and thought I knew the area.
We were out on April 12th which was the first Sunday with good riding weather and there were lots of others with the same idea as us. There was still ice on Rice Lake. Muddy´s was a cool little spot with cold beverages and (I´m told) great barbecue - we´d eaten shortly before so didn´t partake this trip.
