A great alternative to the highway when heading north/south with lots of twisties. Not necessarily a road you would choose to visit solely on it´s own (unless you live near by), but when made up with part of a tour such as one to the Great Alpine Range it makes for a brilliant alternative to straight commuting. Careful around dusk and dawn however as there are many hazards. We´ve seen Wombats, Echidna´s, Roo´s, and even a Goat.

Great little ride that can be linked up with the great alpine rd to omeo.There is a couple of pubs and fuel at mansfield but only a pub in whitfield, if carrying on to omeo would be a good idea to fill up in mansfield. enjoy
