We were in Lerici looking for a nice ride south. This wasn´t it. There were some nice vistas and a some cute towns but Tuscany has better vistas and cuter towns. I would have liked to have rated it higher but the road surface over too much of the route absolutely sucked. There was a couple of nice sections out of Riparbella where the surface improved and there was a great mix of twisties and switchbacks with vertical changes that were fun. That was nice but you pay a price to get there.
Fanatastic road that is a joy to ride on any bike. This road has everything: hairpins, sweepers, straights, coutryside, cafes and great views. Its a bit bumpy in places but if you keep an eye out for the cracks in the road these can be easily spotted.
